Funeral services for Mr. Jerry Powell, age 71, will be held at 2 PM Sunday, November 19, 2023, at Salem Baptist Church in Trenton, TN with Bro. Joel Pigg officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3 PM until 6 PM Saturday, November 18, 2023, at the Shelton Funeral Home Chapel, and on Sunday from 1 PM until service time at Salem Baptist Church.
Mr. Powell passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at Baptist Memorial Hospital Tipton in Covington, TN.
Mr. Powell was a retired Technician for Proctor and Gamble in Jackson, TN, and he loved to fish, and spend time with his dog, Jazzy.
Mr. Powell is preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Margaret Powell; wife, Gipsy Howell Powell; and a brother, Ray Powell.
Mr. Powell is survived by four children, Eric Powell (Morgan), Tonya Scott (Bobby), Cody Wheeler, and Jason Wheeler (Lisa); sister, Diane Taylor (Curtis); and by five Grandchildren, Megan, Dustin, Ava Lynn, Gipsy, and Brentley.
