Jerry Philip Oliver, 43, of Sweetwater, TN, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2022. His visitation will be on Thursday, June 16, 2022, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home. The celebration of life service will be on Friday, June 17, 2022, at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Douglas Cemetery.

Philip is survived by his daughter, Isabelle Oliver and brother, Jeffery Oliver. He is also survived by his lifelong friends, John and Karen Griffin. He is survived by his grandfather, Jeff Gable and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Betsy Oliver; Big Momma, Norma Gable.

Philip was born in Connecticut and because his father was in the Navy, lived all over the United States before settling in Tennessee. As a child, he liked motorcycles, transformers, and watching Dukes of Hazard. He also liked video games and music.

Philip was a graduate of Austin High School and UNA. During his time at UNA he was a vital member of the Pride of Dixie Band. Philip was employed by TVA as a Manager of Performance Improvement for many years. He enjoyed collecting models and figures and had a passion for the trombone. If you knew Philip, then you have a “Philip” story to tell.

Pallbearers will be John Wright, Brandon Nix, Bill Israel, Joe Bentley, Jeff Cofield and Randy Duke.
