A Graveside Funeral service and Interment for Jerry Pendergrass, 79, will be Thursday, September 14, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Rock Creek Cemetery in Winston County, with Rev. Chris Nabors and Bro. John White officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 13, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mr. Pendergrass died on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born March 7, 1944, in Winston County, to William James Pendergrass and Ida Della Sewell Pendergrass.
He was employed as a mechanic by 3M Company for 39 years. He was active in the retiree organization at 3M after retirement. Mr. Pendergrass was active in the Boy Scouts of America for many years, serving in numerous positions including as Scout Master for Troop 142 in Decatur. He was presented with the Silver Beaver Award for distinguished service by the BSA. He also was a beloved “Gramps”, a loving father and husband.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Della Pendergrass and a son: Allen Pendergrass.

Darryl Pendergrass (Kristina)
Brother – John White (Sheila)
Sister – Mozelle Vito (Armand)
Grandchildren –
Emma Pritchard (Nick), Anna Grace Pendergrass, Ethan Pendergrass,
Drew Pendergrass, Chris Pendergrass,
William Pendergrass, and Ian Pendergrass.
Pallbearers will be Brian Glenn, Jeremy Glenn, Drew Pendergrass, Chris Pendergrass, William Pendergrass, and Ian Pendergrass.
