A graveside service will be held for Mrs. Jerry Morris Bryant on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Herring Cemetery. A visitation will be at Peck Funeral Home from 1:30 to 2:30 PM. Brother Clyde Ledlow will be officiating with Peck Funeral Home handling the arrangements.
Mrs. Bryant passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at River City Rehab. in Decatur, AL. at the age of 93. She was born to James and Venta Parker Morris on May 30, 1930 in Morgan County, AL. She was a data operator supervisor for Redstone Arsenal prior to her retirement. She attended New Beginnings Baptist Church, loved to read, sew, and loved learning. She enjoyed baking, especially trying new recipes and loved her grandchildren dearly. She played basketball for Birmingham Southern and enjoyed playing golf. She will be missed terribly.
Mrs. Bryant is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald C. Bryant; sisters, Pauline McCutchen and Tera Penn Pepper.
She is survived by
Two sons, Vincent Bryant (Terri) and Andrew “Andy” Bryant (Lorie)
One sister, Barbara Hartselle
Five grandchildren, Camellia Rawls (Allen), Ronald Bryant (Kim), Nicholas Bryant, Natalie Bryant and Naomi Bryant.
Four great grandchildren, Paxton Gibbs, Carson Rawls, Hudson Rawls and Clara Bryant
Pallbearers will be Ronald Bryant, Allen Rawls, Nicholas Bryant, Kim Reeves, Frank Kilgore and Daryl Sandlin.
