Jerry Mason, 79, of Fort Payne, passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2024. He was born July 8, 1945 in Marshall County, Alabama, to the late Phillip Mason and Omi Lee Mason. Mr. Mason retired after 36 years with All State Insurance. He had a heart for ministry – sharing in local churches and helping people who had needs in their lives, many of whom he didn’t even know.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Mashburn and Rev. Jeff Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12 noon until the 3 p.m. hour of service.
He is survived by his sons Tracy Mason and wife Tammy, Tony Mason and wife Jennifer, and Todd Mason and wife Melissa; grandchildren Morgan Goss, Savannah Killian, Kaleigh Gunnoe, Tyler Mason, Lauren Mason, Esther Mason, Daniel Mason, and Emma Mason; and great-grandchildren Houston Bailey, Addie Goss, Ellisyn Killian, Rowan Gunnoe, Slayde Turner, Riddick Wise, Nyla Hill, Bailey Mason and Charleigh Mason.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his eight siblings.
