Jerry Devon Marsh Profile PhotoJerry Marsh, a beloved warehouse manager for Service Partners, passed away unexpectedly on December 24, 2023, in his hometown of Jackson, Tennessee. Born on April 7,1966, in Jackson, Jerry was a kind-hearted individual who touched the lives of many with his joyful spirit and selfless nature.

Outside of work, Jerry had a wide range of hobbies and interests that brought him immense joy. He was an active member of the Elks Lodge in Jackson, where he actively participated in various community service projects and initiatives. Jerry also served on the Board of Directors for the Humboldt Golf and Country Club, where he passionately contributed to the betterment of the club and enjoyed playing the course.

Sports played a significant role in Jerry’s life. As a devoted fan of TN Vols football and North Carolina Tar Heels, he would eagerly cheer on his favorite teams during their games. Jerry’s love for sports extended beyond being a spectator; he also served as a TSSAA baseball umpire for multiple years. His dedication to promoting fair play and mentorship through umpiring left a lasting impact on young athletes in the community.

Throughout his life, Jerry displayed immense generosity towards others. He had a big heart and would readily give away what he had to those in need without hesitation. This selflessness endeared him to many and earned him the reputation of being a compassionate soul who always put others before himself.

Jerry’s family was incredibly important to him. He is survived by his loving parents, Jerry and Beverly Marsh; his devoted sister, Stephanie Friedrich (Jeff); another cherished sister, Dawn Marsh (Danny Green); his niece, Cortney Treece (Hunter) and niece, Rachael Morford (Jake). He also leaves behind two great nieces, Maren and Madeline Treece, in addition to his immediate family, aunt, Jan Smith (Macy), aunt, Carol Northup, and aunt, Sue Marsh.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and uncle Jimmy Marsh.

Visitation services to honor and remember Jerry will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Arrington Funeral Directors in Jackson. The visitation will take place from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be conducted at the same location at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in Ridgecrest Cemetery where Jerry spent many hours taking care of the grounds and serving families in the burial of their loved ones.

Jerry’s unexpected passing has left a void in the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He will be remembered for his contagious laughter, his unwavering kindness, and his incredible ability to brighten any room he walked into. His legacy as a compassionate and giving soul will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched.
