Jerry M. Cole, 77, of Anderson, passed away Saturday, October 12, 2024 at his residence.

He was a graduate of Lauderdale County High School. Jerry served in the United States Marine Corp. A decorated Vietnam Veteran, he was a recipient of the Purple Heart, recognizing his bravery and sacrifices in combat. He was the Commander of VFW Post #5846, Rogersville for over 30 years.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 17th from 1 – 3 p.m. at Rogersville Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow in the chapel with Jerry Marlow and Roger Hamlin. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery with full military honors. Pallbearers will be Phillip Butler, Chris Willerton, Chris Cole, Brian Hudson, Roger Hamlin and Larry Holden.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Lela Cole; brother, Leonard and Larry Cole; sisters, Virginia (Devon) Smith and Carolyn Beavers. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Wanda Cole; children, Jamy (Jodi) Cole and Lorie (Joe) Boone; grandchildren, Logan (Sarah) Cole, Jack, Case and Scout Boone; great-grandson, Bennett; brothers, David Cole and James (Geneva) Cole; special extended family, Ronnie Smith, Phillip Butler, Larry Holden and Chris Willerton and numerous nieces and nephews.
