Mr. Jerry Lynn White, age 80 of Trussville, Alabama passed away Wednesday,
May 22, 2024 at Cavalier Nursing Home. Jerry was born, April 21, 1944 in Scottsboro, Al where he grew up fishing at the “Gin Rock”, his special camping and fishing spot. He retired from Averett Trucking as a driver after 25 years plus service.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 26, 2024, at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Gunter officiating. A burial will follow in Burgess Cemetery. AL. The family will receive friends at Scottsboro Funeral Home on Sunday beginning at 11:00 am until 2:00pm.
Mr. White is survived by his wife of 55 years, Kathy Hutchins White; two brothers, Kenneth and Billy White; sister, Patsy White (Johnny); five nephews, twelve nieces and several great nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He is also survived by a special great nephew, Jacob A. Boyd whom he had a special place in his heart for.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents WF and Ina B. Whites; sister, Debbie Mode and brother, Mike White.
