Jerry Lee Roop Jr. (J.J.), 31, passed away Friday May 31st 2024.
J.J. could best be described as a “Good Ole Boy” with a heart of gold. He loved Alabama football, country music, and spending time with his family and countless friends. He loved to fish and never missed a chance to sit around a bonfire and listen to music.
He was loved by many because of his upbeat spirit and infectious laugh. You couldn’t help smiling around him.
Survivors include his father, Jerry Lee Roop Sr, brother, Justin Lane Roop, grandmother, Mary Sue Steele, several aunts, uncles, and cousins, and his daughter Praylee Neveah Roop whom he cherished.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Lisa Kay Roop, Grandparents, Gene Roop, Clark and Esther Holloway, and beloved Uncle Jason Gerard Roop.
No services are scheduled at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Jerry’s name to Berryhill Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
