Jerry “Goob” Robinson was born August 25, 1945 in Pickwick Dam, TN, the son of the late James “Hob” Milton and Irene McKinny Robinson.
He had worked many years for Marine Transportation, from deckhand to pilot house. “Goob” also worked in various construction jobs along the way. He served in the Army National Guard. He became a member, after being baptized, at New Chapel Freewill Baptist Church in Pickwick. “Goob” was a member of Adamsville Hunting Club. He enjoyed playing cards and horse shoes, landscaping and working with his hands.
Mr. Robinson departed this life on October 24, 2017 in Adamsville, Tennessee at the age of 72 Years, 1 Month, 29 Days.
He is survived by his soul mate and best friend, Doris Pyron; two sisters, Louella Greene and Fay Vickery; adopted brother, Jerry Matlock; six special grandchildren: Carter, Paisley, Grayson, Gavyn, Jaxon and Charlee; and a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Robinson was preceded in death by two sisters, Louise Blakney and Betty Williams; eight brothers: George, Johnny, Corbin, Garland, Tommy, Clyde, Kenneth and Ronnie Robinson.
