Mr. Jerry David Tidwell, age 80, passed away early Monday at his home in Sardis. He was born December 24, 1943 in McNairy County to the late John W. and Gossie Plunk Tidwell. He was retired from MagneTek and a Baptist in belief. He loved fishing, hunting, and bowling. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Mrs. Shirley Scott Tidwell; two grandsons, Joshua David and Jared Lee Tidwell; nephew, Johnny Tidwell; and two nieces, Rhonda Ross and Kay Maddox. He was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey D. Tidwell; his brother, J. W. Tidwell; his sister, Margaret Maddox; and a niece, Patricia Lee.
Graveside services are scheduled for 3 PM, Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at Cedar Grove Pentecostal Cemetery.
