Jerry Chester Adkins, age 76 of Jasper, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at Princeton Baptist Medical Center.
Graveside services will be Saturday, June 13, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery. Barry Lombard will officiate. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Camp McDowel.
Mr. Adkins was preceded in death by his Father-Chester Adkins; Mother-Tressie Chafin Adkins; Brothers-W.M. Adkins and Harold Adkins; Brother-in-law-Ted Crane; Sister-in-law-Martha Adkins.
He is survived by his Wife of 46 years-Charlene Adkins of Jasper; Daughter-Melanie Gossett Smith of Jasper; Son-Mark Gossett of Jasper; Sister-Barbara Ann Crane of Birmingham; Sister-in-law-Larene Adkins; Precious granddaughters-Jordan Smith and Marlie Smith; Host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be John David Ferguson, Sidney Wilson, Ricky Wade, Junior Franks, Mark Gossett and Keith Alexander.
