Jerry Cheek Primm – Obituary

Jerry Cheek Primm, age 73 of Columbia, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2013.

Jerry was born to Naamon Monroe Primm and Rachel Cheek Garner. He was stationed in South Korea during the Vietnam War and was a peacekeeper. He was the teacher of Philadelphia Church. Jerry was married to his loving wife, Beverly Jean Primm.

Funeral services for Mr. Jerry Primm will be Friday, October 18, at 10:00 am at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia. Burial will follow the service in Philadelphia Cemetery. The family welcomes friends for visitation Thursday, October 17, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Primm is survived by: his mother, Rachel Cheek Garner; sister, Judy (Clay) Hopwood; wife, Beverly Jean Derryberry Primm; son, Terry M. Primm; daughter, Melanie Ann (Mick) Hall; grandchildren: Robyn (Billy) Sharp, Hannah Elizabeth Primm, Matthew Payne Primm; great-grandchildren, Rose and Michael.

The pallbearers for the service will be: Stephen Johnson, Robby Johnson, Clint Derryberry, Casey Derryberry, Dennis Derryberry, David Cheek, Steve Brown, and George Stofel. Honorary pallbearers will be: Members of the Philadelphia Church of Christ, members of the Antioch Church of Christ, employees of Union Carbide, Buddy Derryberry, Troy Derryberry, Butch Derryberry, and Billy Cheek.
