Jerry Charles Richardson, age 38, a resident of Columbia, passed away Saturday, January 1, 2022, at his residence.
The family will celebrate his life with a memorial service via zoom at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on March 7, 1983, in Southfield, Michigan, Jerry was the son of Lydia & William T. Johnson and Jerry Richardson, Sr. He was a 2001 graduate of Spring Hill High School. Jerry was a positive and uplifting person who was excellent at public speaking and motivating others. He was incredibly artistic and loved to sing and dance and go fishing with his dad and brother.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his stepbrother, Kenjamin Webster, grandfather, Howard Orr, aunt, Deborah Torrence, uncles, Harry Peters, Anthony Wayne Orr, great aunts, Doris L. Harper, Lois Harper, great uncle, Floyd Harper, and cousins, Spencer Torrence, Saxton Torrence, Lane Lawrence, Ryan Lawrence, and Lauren Jones. He also leaves behind Felix and Momma Irene Richardson and family, the Sychantha family, and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Harry Peters, Sr., Ardessie Peters, paternal grandmother, Shirley Orr, aunt, Patricia Lawrence, Linda Jones, Valerie Mansfield, and uncle, Robert Harper.
