Jerry Cecil Hopper, 77, of Decatur, Alabama passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2022.
His visitation will be held Tuesday, November 22, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Roselawn Funeral Home. A celebration of life will occur at 11:00 AM, with interment to follow at Roselawn Cemetery, Decatur, AL.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 49 years Betty Hopper, sons; Jay and Gene Hopper, daughter Sharon Givens (Roger), mother Ruby Wear, sister Jewel Ray, 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren.
Jerry is preceded in death by his father Edward Hopper, brother Don Hopper, sons William, Johnny, and Calvin Hopper, grandson Taylor Dunaway.
He was a true servant of the Lord, loved his family, enjoyed singing and recording music. He loved his church family of 16th Ave Baptist Church. He retired from Hubbard & Drake Contractors in 2011.
Those surviving as pallbearers include Jay Hopper, Justin Hopper, Jeremy Hopper, Victor Pylant, Daniel Hopper, and Gene Tuck
