Col. Jerry Cash, age 80, of Ethridge, TN passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at his residence. He was a native of Lawrence County, TN, co-owner of Homefront Realty & Auction and a farmer. He was also a member of American Legion Post 146, Lawrenceburg Zoning Board of Appeals, and attended Still Waters Cowboy Church in Pulaski, TN. Mr. Cash served his country honorably in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Alma B. Shelton Cash Pope; his step-father, Earl “Pete” Pope; and one grandson, Eli Jerrett Flatt.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Gilliam Cash of Ethridge, TN; four children, Laura Cash Cox (Mike) of Lawrenceburg, TN, Bart Hayes Cash (Angela) of Spring Hill, TN, Barrett Stutts of Lawrenceburg, TN, and Brynn Stutts Flatt of Lawrenceburg, TN; nine grandchildren, Hannah Shultz, Skylar Stutts, Mac Shultz, Bella Stutts, Ally Flatt, Noah Cash, Jacob Cash, Tucker Flatt, and Tanner Flatt. Those serving as pallbearers are George Butler, Ed Brown, David Williams, Bobby Morgan, Joe Warren, and Nelson Montero. Those serving as honorary pallbearers are Jerry Kiddy, J. Mack Chandler, Gene Smith, John Wayne Ferguson, John Hutton, Lewis Purcell and Wendell “Buckshot” Brannon.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Neal Funeral Home. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens with military honors at 1:30 PM Saturday, September 26, 2020, with Lewis Thomas officiating. Family suggests memorials be made to Still Waters Cowboy Church in Pulaski, TN or A Kid’s Place/A Child Advocacy Center.
