Jerry was born in Shannon, MS on February 11, 1935, the son of the late Eddie and Mary (Smith) Brackett.
Surviving are: sister Sadie Brackett Brown ; son Jerry (Willa) Brackett Jr.; daughters; Willie ogbonna, Rhonda Brackett (Ivan Hawthrone) and Monica Hessier; number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Marie Brackett Shack- Seals, Willie Mary Brackett, Viola S. Brackett, James Brackett, Eula Dean Brackett, Preston Brackett, Sarah Brackett Partlow, Walter Leo Brackett, Sylvena Brackett and Queenester Brackett.
