Jerry B. Taylor, 86, passed away on December 4, 2024. A graveside service will be Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Green Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Childersburg, Alabama.
Jerry was born October 12, 1938 and served as a United Methodist minister until his retirement. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to many. He was a devout Christian who loved the Lord with all his heart. His kindness and love will endure in the hearts of all who knew him. The family rejoices in knowing that he is reunited with his beloved wife, Kate, and is now in the embrace of his Heavenly Father.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Alta Taylor; wife, Alma Kate Bowling-Taylor; brother, Carl “Pete” Taylor; and sister, Ella-Wayne Cochran.
Jerry is survived by his son, David Taylor; granddaughter, Katherine Taylor; great-grandson, Tru Taylor; sister, Willena White; and his beloved dogs, Roscoe and Tinkerbell.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
