Jerry Auburn Bryant, age 78, of Hokes Bluff, Alabama passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2022. The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 1, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 from 12 until the hour of service. The funeral service will be Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at 2:00 PM. The visitations and service will be held at Collier Butler Funeral Home. Bro. Steve Holland and Bro Tim Giles will be officiating. Burial will be at Youngs Chapel Cemetery. Mr. Bryant was a lifetime resident of Etowah County. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Glencoe and had served on the Board of Trustees. He was a heavy equipment operator and had worked with Hobart Cochran Construction for 18 years and for Etowah County for 35 years. He was also a tractor and heavy equipment mechanic that was known to be able to fix anything. Mr. Bryant enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid deer hunter. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings. Mr. Bryant is survived by his wife of 58 years, Carolyn Eubanks Bryant; daughters Jaton Leverette (Larry) and Minda Robinson; chosen son Hoyt Bryant (Robin); grandchildren Kyle Jaggears (Christian), Jaron Leverette (Brenda Solis), Kera Leverette, Sierra Robinson, Anna Grace Leverette, and Daniel Bryant; great grandchildren Michael Jaggears, Natalia Leverette, and Mary Katherine Jaggears; a host of nieces and nephews, and many friends. Pallbearers will be Mike Miller, Justin Miller, Mitch Miller, Hoyt Bryant, Daniel Bryant, and Jeremy Smith. Honorary pallbearers are the members of the Men’s Sunday School Class at New Hope Baptist Church The family will receive flowers, or memorials may be made to New Hope Baptist Church Building Fund, 816 New Hope Church Road, Glencoe, AL 35905.
