Jerlene Rebecca (Harris) Phillips

Ms. Phillips, who died Thursday, February 14, 2013, at her residence, was born April 13, 1935, in Morgan County, to Fred Harris and Ollie Bradbury Harris.   She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Sherry Rose Ryan, and one grandson, Justin William Keenum.  Ms. Phillips was a wonderful mother and friend.  She loved her Lord Jesus Christ.  Across the years she touched many lives with her sweet Christian spirit.  She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church, and was a fearful servant unto The Lord by teaching, witnessing, and praying for others.  Ms. Phillips was also an outstanding cook who loved her family and friends.  She will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by one son, Randy Phillips (Debra) of Vinemont; two daughters, Amy Bolan (Ricky) of Vinemont, and Holly Keenum (Heath) of Decatur;  five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren; and two step-great-great-grandchildren.

Ms. Phillips’ family would like to express their appreciation to many people:  The Heart Center physicians and staff; Dr. Jackson and office staff for all their help; the Westmeade pharmacists and employees for their help; Meals on Wheels; and Decatur Morgan ER and ICU nurses and physicians.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.
