A Celebration of Life and Legacy for Mr. Jeremy LaBron Coffey, 25 of Decatur will be noon, Thursday at King’s Memorial United Methodist Church with The Reverend James Coffey officiating and inhumation to follow in Calvary Memorial Gardens. The body will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral. Public Viewing will be Tuesday from 2-7 and Wednesday from 10-7 at Reynolds Funeral Home.
Jeremy was born October 13, 1989 in Decatur to Melissa Coffey Wiley and Clifford Mason. He departed this life at Parkway Hospital on December 12, 2014.
Jeremy’s journey of Faith began early as he joined Love Chapel C.M.E. Church
Jeremy was a 2008 Graduate of Austin High School. He was employed by Bunge Corporation.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Laura Coffey.
His spirit awaits the homecoming of: his parents, Melissa Coffey (Alvis) Wiley, Clifford (Jeannette ) Mason all of Decatur; a loving grandmother, Earline Wiley of Athens; eight sisters, Sharay Harris, Felleney Moody, Zondra Moody, Shanice Johnson all of Decatur, Taffena (Lawson III) Fletcher of Montgomery, Ebonee McDaniel of Muscle Shoals, Lynn Troupe, Shantel Wiley both of Athens; two brothers, Malachi Mason of Decatur, Quentin Wiley of Athens; three aunts, Lucy (Lester) Brown of Courtland, Laura (Leon) Morris of Decatur, Rosie J. Bell of Town Creek; 13 uncles, Eddie (Rita) Coffey, James C. Coffey, Franklin Coffey all of Decatur; Rev. Stanley Coffey of Ft. Bragg, NC, Rev. James (Melissa) Coffey of Killen, Roy McDaniel of Decatur, Fred Freeman of Town Creek, Russell T. Hampton of Chattanooga, TN, Robert (Wille) King of Courtland, Lee E. King of Detroit, MI, Lugean Mason, Anthony (Carolyn) Mason both of Decatur, Rickey (Tammy) Mason of Bosie, ID; four great uncles, Johnny (Lena) Johnson, Robert (Mary) Johnson, Bossie (Clara) Johnson, Dan Milton Johnson and one great aunt, Lucy Mae Johnson all of Decatur; the love of his life, Destiny Smith of Decatur; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
Flower bearers will be classmates of Austin High School Class of 2008.
