Jeraldean Helen Benson Tallant, 78, of Jasper, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2016, at Walker Baptist Medical Center.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 3, 2016, at the Collins-Burke Funeral Home parlor, with funeral services following at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will take place at Oakhill Cemetery in Jasper. Rick Sherer will officiate.
Mrs. Tallant was preceded in death by her father, Dawson Benson; mother, Lucille Brakefield Benson; husband, Louis Ralph Tallant; brother, James Benson; and sister, Dorothy Humphries.
She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Courington; son, Dennis Tallant (Aletha); sister, Jeanne Smith; brother, Jack Benson (Linda); granchildren, Eric Courington, Sara Courington and Asha Willcutt; and great-granchildren, Anna Rice, Alex Rice, Austin Rice and Cole Willcutt.
