Jennifer Marvello Kelley, 73, of Hillsboro, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2022 at her home. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Monday, September 26, 2022 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 at the funeral home with Tim Rice officiating. Burial will be at Providence Cemetery.
Born on September 14, 1949 to the late William and Velma Bradford Kelley, Jennifer graduated from Lincoln Jr. High in Pontiac, Michigan and loved reading, puzzles, and quilting. She made all of her family quilts. Jennifer also loved traveling and going to the Memphis Film Festival every June. Most of all, she loved her family, especially her grand babies who were very special to her.
Survivors include her children, Jeffrey Carl Kelley, Robert Leldon Kelley, Carla Phillips, and April Kirby; grandchildren, William Shipley Hart, Jonathan Posey, Zackary Kelley, Alexis Bishop, and Halston Vickers; siblings, Riley Kelley (Linda), Leslie Kelley (Nancy), Deborah Kelley, Randy Newton (Lisa), Pamela Kimbrel (Ricky), Jerry Newton (Beronda) and Cecelia Clark; and nieces and nephews, Sheila Kelley Gordon, Samela and Bobbie Kelley, Angela Kelley Cottingham, Nicole Kelley Leeth, Kristy Kelley, Jason and Leslie Kelley Jr., Shannon Newton Dolzynski, Regina and Felicia Newton, Brock Kimbrel, Jessica Newton, Samantha Clark and Lindsey Clark.
Jennifer is preceded in death by her father, William Sanford Kelley; mother, Velma Nadine “Bobbie” Bradford Stevens; first husband, Carl Felton Kelley and second husband, Carl Wade Phillips; daughter, Cynthia Nadine Kelley; son, Frank Scott Kelley; and grandson, David Anthony Shipley Hart.
Pallbearers will be Wendell Owens, Samuel Johnson, Daniel Johnson, Jonathan Posey, Sawyer Kilpatrick.
The family extends special thanks to her nurses, Jennifer Stokes, Taylor Terry, Ally Baugh, and the rest of the staff at Enhabit Hospice; Linda Upton for driving to doctors appointments, Kristi Russell for caring for her when the family couldn’t be there; and Pam and Ricky Kimbrel and all others who helped in any way.
