Jennifer “Jen” Lachelle Fugate Fretwell, age 38, of Phil Campbell, as well as her 11-year-old son, Jase, was taken from this life too soon in a tragic car accident on Wednesday, September 27, 2023.
Jen worked at IHP Industries in Quality Assurance. She was friendly and outgoing to everyone she met, and she had a beautiful heart. Jen was silly, caring, funny, and always there when you needed her. She was a fierce protector of her boys, her cousins, and all her family. All the kids of the family loved their “Jen-Jen”. She is gone too soon and will never be forgotten.
In addition to the death of her son, Jase, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Joe & Betty Borden and Sewell & Peggy Fugate.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Hunter Baker, Noah Fretwell; mother, Susan Borden; father, Ricky Fugate (Susan); siblings, Lee Fugate (Amber), Nikki Murray (Matt); boyfriend, Elvis Lovell; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; and “JenJen” girls, Emoree Murray, Anna Fugate, Makenna Murray, Emma Fugate, Lennox Murray, and Linley Jo Murray.
The visitation for Jen and her son, Jase, will be 12-2 p.m. Monday, October 02, 2023, at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel. The burial will be at Franklin Memory Gardens.
The pallbearers will be Roger Mansell, Lee Fugate, Elvis Lowell, and Matt Murray.
