Jennifer Diane “Nana” Cissom, 54, resident of Pine Grove, passed away on Friday, October 25, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her loving family and friends. Visitation for Jennifer will be Sunday, October 27, 2024, from 11 AM until 2 PM in the Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at 2 PM on Sunday, October 27, 2024, in the Heritage Chapel of the Ripley Funeral Home with Bro. Dewayne Morgan officiating.
Jennifer was born October 8, 1970, in Booneville, MS, to J.R. Robbins and the late Diane Lacy Robbins. She was a graduate of Ripley High School and was an employee of H.M. Richards for many years. A Christian, she was proudly saved on August 1, 1981, and was of the Baptist faith. She loved her grandchildren dearly, but always had a “wooden spoon” or a spatula close by in case it was needed for the Lord did say: “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6. Jennifer enjoyed online shopping, although some purchases were never understood by her family, she could explain every purchase she made, and she watched Criminal Minds and Law & Order faithfully. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all those that knew and loved her.
Jennifer leaves behind her beloved husband of fifteen years, Doug Cissom, two daughters, Kayla Harris (Davion) of Dumas and Shelby Cissom of Dry Creek, one son, J.D. Chapman (Claudia) of Dumas, her father, J.R. Robbins of Pine Grove, one sister, Jo Barkley (Alan Borden) of Booneville, and seven dearly loved grandchildren, Ethan Chapman, Aiden Jarvis, Stetson (Booger) Hicks, Kaitlyn Chapman, C.J. Chapman, Kingsley Harris and Lorelai Thompson.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Diane Lacy Robbins.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Ethan Chapman, Aiden Jarvis, Patrick Wilbanks, Andrew Bridges, Shane Bourg and Terry Cartwright. Serving as honorary pallbearers include C. J. Chapman and Stetson “Booger” Hicks.
