Jennie Elizabeth Overstreet Heflin, age 74, passed away peacefully at her home in Hampshire, Tennessee, surrounded by her loving family. Jennie was born on April 7, 1950, to the late Rufus Overstreet and Mary Louise Angus Overstreet, and she was raised on the family farm, where she developed a strong work ethic and a deep connection to the land. Her childhood was spent learning sustainable trades, such as raising farm animals, growing crops, and preserving her own food, skills she lovingly passed down to future generations.
A 1968 graduate of Haylong High School, Jennie furthered her education by earning an associate degree to become a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). She later advanced her career by becoming a Registered Nurse (RN), serving in various roles throughout her dedicated nursing career.
