Jenifer(with one n or Jeni to some) L. Soto, aged 64, passed away peacefully because of a much used, loving heart on October 27th 2024 in Huntsville, Alabama. She was born on October 6th 1958, in Chicago, Illinois, to Richard Ecklund and Ruth Baker. She married the love of her life Francisco Soto on September 20th 1980. She couldn’t have asked for a more devoted partner. He has taken exceptional care of her throughout their 46 years together, especially these past 15 years being in and out of the hospital with medical issues.
Jenifer was a homemaker who took her job very seriously (our house always felt like a home) and enjoyed nothing so much as taking care of the ones that she loved. God, family, and music were her biggest passions. She was active with her church community, sang on the praise and worship team, and even professionally recorded a couple of songs. Jenifer was a very outgoing person and had the ability to make anyone smile. She never met a stranger.
She is survived by her husband Francisco, her mother Ruth Baker, her brother Jerry Basiger, her sister Janell Luna, her children Sethee Khan, Shawn Khan, Adrianna Ghea, Eryka Drake, her 15 grandchildren “Grandma’s pumpkins precious and specials” Brandon Khan-Fagg, Joseph(Joey) Khan, Ethan Soto-Berrum, Brianna Drake, Timothy(Timmy) Khan, Julianna(Juli) Soto-Berrum, Autumn Ghea, Agustin Hernandez, Landon Drake, Dylan Hernandez, Grayson Drake, Norah Ghea, Anneca Harris, Izaiah Harris, Ava Soto, Great-grandson Roman Khan, and many other family and loved ones.
