Dr. Jeffrey W. Hull, 77, of Decatur, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2023. Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life service will be on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at 11:00 AM at First Bible Church with Pastor Steve Bateman officiating. He will be laid to rest at Roselawn Cemetery.
Dr. Hull is survived by his wife of 44 years, Debbie; sons, Andrew (Kathleen), John (Simone), Mark (Pam) and Matthew (Liv); grandchildren, Eli, Jeffrey, Emory, Lillian, Mark Allen and Wayland; brother, Dr. Brian Hull (Nancy) of Wichita Falls, Texas; sister, Nancy Clough (David) of Omaha, Nebraska, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayland E. and Helen V. Hull.
Dr. Hull was born on December 31, 1945 in Dayton, Ohio. He graduated from the University of Texas and attended medical school at University of Texas Medical Branch Galveston. He also did his residency in Pediatric Medicine at UTMB. Dr. Hull was a veteran and served in the Army and the Navy. He practiced Pediatric Medicine in Corpus Christi, Texas for 7 years before moving to Decatur in 1991 to be closer to his wife’s family. He practiced Pediatrics in Decatur for 25 years.
Pallbearers will be Andrew, John, Mark and Matthew Hull, Wes Easley and Justin Knighten.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Bible Church or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
