Jeffrey Scott “Louie” Pollard, age 56, of Ballplay, AL, passed away June 26, 2023. Funeral service will be Wednesday, June 28, 2023, 2:00 p.m. at Collier-Butler Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bruce Jenkins officiating. Burial will be at Union #3 Cemetery. The family will accept friends from 12 pm until 2 pm at the funeral home Wednesday.
Louie was preceded in death by his parents, Odis “Lat” and Doris Pollard; and brother, Stanley Pollard.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Glenna Jenkins Pollard; daughter, Miranda Pollard, and son, Levi Pollard; brother, Tony (Cheryl) Pollard; Nephews, Brian (Emily) Pollard and Brad Pollard; great-nephews, Wyatt and Jackson Pollard; and a host of friends.
Louie worked for Sunbeam (Earthgrains) Bakery for over 18 years before leaving to go to work at the Etowah County Sign Department, where he worked for 8 years before becoming disabled. He thoroughly enjoyed his time at both places of employment.
Louie did not let being disabled hold him down. He spent countless hours on his golf cart “piddling”, or just sitting outside watching his dog and cats romp and play. He also loved hunting and spending time in the woods. Louie was a fun loving and generous man, giving of his time and resources to help anyone in need. He was a wonderful husband and an awesome dad who will be sorely missed.
