Jeffrey M Clossman Jeffrey M Clossman, 73, of Leeds, AL, passed in peace on November 3, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer. Jeff was born December 1948 to Donald J. and Ruth Ann Clossman in Columbus, OH. After graduation from Youngstown State University, Ohio, Class of ’72, with a BE in Structural Engineering, he took a job with BE&K Engrg. Co. in Mobile, AL. From there, Jeff became a skilled engineer, working on the design of many paper plants, bridges and nuclear power plants. He retired at age 70, trading in his design tools for the tools of the kitchen, and became an avid chef and foodie. No one could cook bacon like Pops.

Jeff is survived by his spouse, Brenda Thompson, and his two children from a previous marriage, Donnie and Amy Clossman. He was affectionately known as “Pops” to his step-children, Wendy and Robby Thompson, and has two grandchildren and four step-grandchildren. Jeff is also survived by two brothers, Mark and Greg Clossman of Ohio, his former spouse, Virginia, and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11AM on Saturday, November 12th, at Forest Crest Cemetery, located at 5730 Bankhead Hwy, Birmingham, 35210. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration with refreshments immediately following graveside at Jeff and Brenda’s home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in Jeff’s name.
