It is with deep sorrow and so much love that we mourn the passing of Jeffrey Christopher “Chris” Rich, 34, who died peacefully, at home on August 27, 2020, in Harvest, Alabama.
Chris will be missed every day by his mother, Barbara (Crawford) Rich of Harvest, AL; sister, Jessica (and Ryan) Blackman of Oak Ridge, TN; brothers, Byron (and Nissa) Olson of Harvest, AL, and Andrue (and Hannah) Olson of Harvest, AL; paternal grandparents, Norman and Nan Rich of Topsham, ME; maternal grandparents, Brenda and Bill Veach of Toney, AL; aunt, Janet DeMatteo and uncle, Angel Lopez of Temple, TX; uncle, Victor (and Robyn) Crawford, Cullman, AL; and many loving relatives and friends. Chris was preceded in death by his father, Jeffrey G. Rich and his grandmother, Netty S. Yelland.
Chris will be remembered for his contagious laugh and unconditional love. He loved babies, puppies, and the cartoon character, Garfield. Although we will miss him immensely, we will celebrate his life and find comfort in our memories.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, no services are planned. The family requests that remembrances be made in the form of contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project or to a charity of your choice, in Christopher’s name.
