Jeffery Wade “Jeff” Mann, age 67 of Estill Springs, passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at his residence. Jeff was born on September 30, 1956, in Estill Springs to the late Frank and Pauline (Hill) Mann. He was a 1974 graduate of Franklin County High School. Jeff was the owner and operator of Jeff Mann Homebuilders continuing a family business into its 60th plus year. He was a devoted member of the Winchester Church of Christ and loved his church family very much.
Over the years he owned several Tennessee Walking Horses with his father Frank and son Derick, and loved spending every chance he had at the barn or in the outdoors. He had also been involved in several different martial arts both practicing and teaching. He enjoyed his bird dogs and his field trial dogs, winning many competitions with his youngest son Logan. He loved to play music, especially the mandolin and guitar. In the rare moment he had down time, he enjoyed watching Andy Griffith and could quote you almost line for line of each episode.
In more recent years, he left all of his hobbies to spend as much time as he could with his family. Jeff will be remembered as a humble, kind, and caring person. The gentlest soul but the toughest man.
In addition to his parents, Jeff was preceded in death by his beloved son, Logan Mann. He is survived by his wife of forty-seven years, Joyce (Isom) Mann; son, Derick (Katie) Mann; sister, Teresa Currey; and many nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2024, from 12:00pm – 3:30pm at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with funeral service following at 3:30pm from the chapel with Bro. Joseph Horton officiating, Derick Mann and Frank Lynch speaking. Interment will be at Franklin Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
