Jeffery D. Davenport, age 65 of Winchester, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at Southern Tennessee Regional Health Systems. He was born in McMinnville on October 28, 1959. Before his retirement, Jeff had been employed as a mechanic by the City of Winchester as well as owning and operating a machine shop and Davenport Corvettes. He was passionate about his work and loved every minute of working on cars, especially corvettes. Jeff’s sharp mind and intellect along with his salesman mentality created the ability for him to take care of his customers. In his spare time, he enjoyed making trades, watching movies, and playing video games, as well as traveling to attend races. A people person, his outgoing personality allowed him to never meet a stranger. Jeff was a member of the Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Davenport. Jeff is survived by his loving mother, Dovie Davenport; sons, Jeffery (Haley) Davenport; Christopher (Kristie) Davenport, and Matthew Davenport; daughter, Sarah Davenport (Tyler Monahan); grandchildren, Sophia, Christopher, Jaylen, Noah, Destiny, Samara, Trenton, Martin, and Chloe; great-grandchild, Shaleigh Lynn; and sister, Debbie (Mark) Hill. Visitation will be from 1-3pm on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Watson Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, November 10, 2024, in the Roy B. Watson Chapel of Watson Funeral Home with Bro. Oren Huffman officiating. Interment will be at Franklin Memorial Gardens.
