Jeff TaylorJeff Taylor, lovingly known as “Paw,” passed away on March 17, 2025.  Born on June 11, 1958, in Huntsville, Alabama, Jeff was the son of Daulton M. Taylor and Estelle Thompson Taylor. He was preceded in death by both of his parents and his beloved brother, James Daulton Taylor.

Jeff was a devoted husband to Virginia Ann Taylor (“Maw’), with whom he built a life filled with love, faith, and family. Together, they shared countless cherished moments and unwavering support for one another.

A dedicated father, Jeff leaves behind his children, Jeffrey Lynn Taylor Jr. (Brittany Taylor) and Jason Taylor Carodine (Grant Carodine). He was a proud and doting grandfather to Hayden Taylor, Hunter Taylor, Grayson Carodine, and Gracie Carodine, who brought him immense joy and laughter. He is also survived by his nephew, James Daulton Taylor Jr. “Bud” (Lori Taylor), and their three daughters Lorin, Mallie, and Jamie who held a special place in his life.

Jeff was a man of many talents and passions. He found great joy in water skiing, deer and turkey hunting, camping, and fixing anything that needed repair—he was a firm believer in “do it yourself before you pay somebody.” His greatest happiness, however, came from playing with his grandchildren, creating cherished memories filled with love and laughter.

A man of deep faith, Jeff was a dedicated Christian who was heavily involved in his church and always eager to lend a helping hand to those in need. He was known for his caring heart, vast knowledge, and unwavering support for his family and friends. His playful nature as a prankster was matched only by his wisdom and humility, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him.

Jeff’s legacy is one of hard work, humility, and kindness. He taught those around him to approach life with determination, generosity, and a sense of humor. His presence will be profoundly missed, but his lessons and love will continue to guide his family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at Berryhill Funeral Home on Thursday, March 20 2025. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, with a funeral service to follow. Burial will take place at Maple Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The American Heart Association or The American Cancer Society in his honor.
