Jeannine Wooten, 93, retired public librarian from Humboldt, Tennessee passed away Sunday, December 22, 2024 peacefully at home. Jeannine grew up in Paducah, Kentucky and graduated from Lone Oak High School. After graduation she attended Bethel College in McKenzie, Tennessee, where she met and married her husband of sixty-three years, Clifton, who preceded her in death. Jeannine and Clifton lived in Martin and Humboldt, Tennessee before retiring and settling in Clifton’s hometown of Vina, Alabama.
Graveside services will be Friday, December 27, 1 p.m. at Pilot Hill Cemetery, Vina, AL. Burial will be in Pilot Hill Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
She leaves her family, Randal Wooten (Carol), Vina, Alabama, Jimmy Wooten (Zina) Bartlett, Tennessee, Peggy Wooten Long (Ronnie) Olive Branch, Mississippi and Paul Wooten of Jackson, Tennessee.
Jeannine‘s loving grandchildren are Jeffrey Coltrain, Lebanon, Tennessee, Jessica Wooten Childers (Luke), Vina, Alabama, Joey Wooten, Miami, Florida, Adam Wooten, Holly Springs, Mississippi, Aaron Wooten, Millington, Tennessee, Alana Long Newman (Josh), Olive Branch, Mississippi and Brady Long, Olive Branch, Mississippi, Jason Polston (Alicia) Lakewood, Colorado, Jennifer Williams (Brett) Oakland, Tennessee, Emily Miller (Matt) Collierville, Tennessee and Erica Filsinger (David), Arlington, Tennessee and also twenty great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
