Jeannette (Scott) FranksJeannette Scott Franks, 87, of Russellville, Alabama, passed away on November 13, 2024 at her home surrounded by family.

A native of Franklin County, Alabama, Mrs. Franks was born in Red Bay, on June 30, 1937 to Winford and Rosa Scott. Her family moved to Spruce Pine when she was a small child where she attended Spruce Pine Elementary School and graduated from Phil Campbell High School.

She met her husband, Hal Dee Franks, while picking cotton in the Fall of 1960. They were then married on December 1, 1960, and shared a wonderful life together for 55 years. She was a devoted wife, stay at home mom and a retired poultry producer. She loved to sew and crochet. She loved gardening and tending to her flowers. She was a wonderful cook and loved to cook for her family. Most of all she loved her family.

She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Newburg. She loved her church family and kept the nursery for many years.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 16 at Macedonia Baptist Church from 12:00 till 2:00 with the funeral immediately following.
Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.

She is survived by her children Peggy Seay (Jimmy Dale), Janice Thompson (Jim), Rodney Franks and Mark Thomas; brother, Dewey Scott (Joan).
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Nick Seay, April Gray (Mark), Matthew Hood, Rachel Moss (Justin), 10 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hal Dee Franks. Her parents Winford and Rosa Scott. Her siblings, Kenith (Pete) Scott, Flavis Hutcheson, Dorothy Cameron, Troy Hutcheson, Haston Scott, Peggy Edwards, and granddaughter, Elizabeth Hood.

Pallbearers will be Nick Seay, Matthew Hood, Justin Moss, Dylan Lucas, Nathan Lucas, Mark Gray and Robert Cameron. Honorary pallbearers will be Milton Hutcheson, Doug Nicholson and Devin Veltman.

The family would like to thank Amedisys for the excellent home health and hospice care that our mother received.
