Jeannette Hill Brewster
May 29, 1932 – February 21, 2016

Jeannette was a native Huntsvillian, born to Harry C. Hill of Paint Rock and Mary Turner Hill of Toney, Alabama. Jeannette graduated from Montevallo University and taught elementary school in College Park, Georgia, before teaching at First United Methodist Church for over 30 years, where she also served in the church nursery every Sunday.  She was a long term member of Embroiderer’s Guild of America and especially enjoyed doing beautiful counted cross stitch work.  Jeannette was also active in the local Montevallo University Alumni Chapter.

Survivors include husband, Albert ‘Bert’ DeMasters Brewster; children, Mary Catherine Brewster Stapp and husband, Dennis Stapp, William ‘Bill’ Albert Brewster and wife, Melanie Cheryl Brewster, Douglas Clifford Brewster and wife, Rhonda Henry Brewster and Alan Edward Brewster and wife, Michele Cancienne Brewster; and grandchildren, Victoria ‘Tori’ Lauren Stapp, Christian Danforth ‘Dan’ Stapp, Andrew Michael Brewster, and Clare Elizabeth Brewster.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday, February 28 at First United Methodist Church. A celebration of life will immediately follow at the church with The Reverends Coy Hallmark and Dr. Glenn Conner officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, Huntsville, AL 35801 or the American Diabetes Association.
