Devoted wife and mother, Jeanne D. Smith, passed away on November 20, 2023. She was blessed with a close family, including her husband of 66 years, three children, four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
During her long life, Jeanne exemplified all the qualities of a lady possessing a positive yet simple outlook on life. She always demonstrated a gentle, one-of-a-kind, strength through her serene personality. An Auburn graduate in medical technology, Jeanne was a lifelong learner and consistently demonstrated strength, empathy, wisdom and compassion in all her interactions with family, friends and even strangers she met at the grocery store.
Jeanne’s passion was to support her family in any way she could, such as sewing clothes for her children’s Barbie dolls, sharing her passion for reading books and encouraging them to travel the world with her. An avid bridge player, additional hobbies included collecting nutcrackers, singing in a local choir and playing mentally challenging digital games.
