  Jeanette Sue Rose Profile PhotoJeanette Sue Rose, daughter of the late Joseph Truman Baughn and Alice Dodd Baughn, was born January 8, 1946 in Haleyville, Alabama. After she graduated from Lynn High School in 1964, she attended cosmetology school in Tuscaloosa. While working at a beauty salon in Tuscaloosa, she gave birth to her only daughter, Lynn Sheree Johnson.

Years later, she moved back to Lynn and opened her own shop, Jeanette’s Fashion Flair, where she enjoyed doing people’s hair and catching up on all the news in Lynn. Her salon served as a gathering place and a news source for all the local happenings in Lynn. Jeanette had many loyal customers; even if snow was on the ground, they showed up for their appointments.

Jeanette was united in holy matrimony to Robert Neal Rose on November 10, 1992. They lived for 18 years in South Fulton, Tennessee. While where, she attended South Fulton Baptist Church. She also worked for a beauty supply house and enjoyed meeting her customers. After Neal’s retirement, they moved back to Lynn in April 2010, where they enjoyed time with their family and friends. She was a faithful member of Concord Baptist Church. Jeanette loved going to the lake to swim and go boating.

Jeanette is survived by her husband, Robert Neal Rose; daughters, Lynn Johnson Tucker (Jeff); Kristie Roberts (Sammy); grandchildren, Connar Mobley (Brooke), Anna Grace Mobley (Austin), Lakyn Howell (Ricky) and Austin Tucker; great grandchildren, Chloe Paige Mobley, Baylor Ace Jones, Brynleigh and Ryker Howell; sisters, Carolyn Corkren, Evelyn Hicks (Roy Lee), Linda Hardin (Danny) and Dianne Lindsey (Barry); and a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her son, Randy Neal Rose; father, Joseph Truman Baugh; mother, Alice Dodd Baugh, and brother, Jerry Mac Baughn.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 8, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Concord Baptist Church in Lynn, Alabama, where the service will begin at 1:00p.m. in the chapel. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Brother Shawn Blanton will officiate.
