Funeral Services for Mrs. Jeanette Siggers Brown, age 72 of Lineville, will be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville at 2:00 P.M. with Bro. Mike Perry officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope West Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Brown passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2024 at her home. She was born and raised in Randolph County, living in Roanoke for most of her life, as well as Cragford for the last 30 years. She worked as a seamstress at multiple locations, including Palm Beach sewing plant, Kleggs sewing plant in Wadley, and Fashion Star sewing plant in Wedowee. Mrs. Brown enjoyed tending to her goats and chickens, fishing, and watching soap operas. When her daughter Kathy passed away, she helped raise her children, and embraced being a full time mother and grandmother to them. Mrs. Brown was laid back and easy going, and was always on the go.
Mrs. Brown is survived by one son, Ray Blackmon (Sonya) of Lineville; seven grandchildren: Jamie Screws, Jonathan Screws, Nick Screws, Amber Blackmon, Kathy Myers (Noah), Hunter Roberts, and Morgan Gilbert; 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Linda Karr (Andy) of Lineville; one brother, James Siggers (Pat) of Roanoke; as well as other extended family.
Mrs. Brown is preceded in death by her parents: Walter Calloway Siggers Sr. and Lizzie Jane Melton Siggers; her daughter, Kathy Screws; her son, Larry Clark; and one brother, W.C. Siggers Jr.
Active Pallbearers will be Johnny Akins, Anthony Higgins, Colby Lindsey, Nathan Screws, Noah Myers, and Steven Mickle. Honorary Pallbearers will be John Oswalt and Jonathan Screws.
Her visitation will take place on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville beginning at 12:00 P.M. until service time at 2:00 P.m.
