Jeanette “Net” King, 80 of Athens, Alabama, passed away on July 4th, 2023 in Hospice Care. She was born on April 4th, 1943, to Thomas Putman and Lura Reese.
Mrs. King is survived by her stepchildren Troy King (Misty) and Kalii Lane (Harvey); best friends LaDonna Holloway (Steve), and Pennie Smith; her grandchildren Starr Hamilton (Chris), Cody Lane, Logan Lane, Colton Lane, Chaz Hardy (Taylor), and Madison Taylor(Ian); her great-grandchildren Rowyn Hamilton, Kora Moore, and Brinley Hardy; her sisters-in-law Cathy Putman, Joyce Best (Bobby); her 2 nieces Christy and Michelle(Larry) ; her nephew Heath (Jennifer); great niece Cassidy; great nephew Wyatt; and her many cousins and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harold King; 3 brothers Mike Putman, Roger Putman, Joey Putman; sister Joan Ball (LaDon Ball); great-grandson Case Hardy; niece Brandi Ball; and nephew Mark Ball.
Funeral services for Mrs. King will be Sunday, July 9th at 2:00pm at Antioch Cemetery with Bruce Addison officiating. Visitation will be from 11am-1:30pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home prior to the service. Pallbearers for Ms. King will be Ian Taylor, Trent Spidel, Steve Holloway, Heath Putman, Chaz Hardy, and Chris Hamilton.
Mrs. King loved all her family and friends, and everyone loved her. She was our Queen and matriarch to all.
