Jeanette Lambert Pittman Durm died in her sleep on Aug. 28, 2022. She was 88. A native of Tennessee and a longtime resident of Corinth and Farmington, Mississippi, she lived her final months with the family of her son, Jim, in Arkansas. Born on Veterans Day 1933, Jeanette had a soft spot for veterans, a strong pride in her country and community, and a deep love of God, her family and her church. With her husband J.M. Pittman, she raised four children and rooted them in faith and family. An avid reader, she continued her love of gardening, flowers and nature in her later years with her second husband, Doug Durm. In addition to being a homemaker, Jeanette worked for a cotton growers cooperative, as a church secretary, and in public service roles for the State of Mississippi and City of Corinth. She is survived by four children (and their spouses): Joe Pittman (Lori), Joy Perilloux (Gary), David Pittman (Karen) and Jim Pittman (Kirsten); 10 grandchildren, Stephanie Stallings (Greg), Stephen Pittman (Christie), Lucas Pittman, Logan Pittman, Kelly Schachleiter (Mike), Kevin Pittman (Samantha), Kaleb Pittman, Lauren Wininger (Stephen), Layne Stephens (Caleb) and Levi Pittman; and 10 great-grandchildren, Jase Stallings, Hailee Stallings, Bailey Pittman, Cameron Pittman, Taylor Schachleiter, Cade Schachleiter, Benjamin Pittman, Matthew Pittman, Emmalynn Wininger and Crosby Wininger. She is also survived by her sister, Thelma Tucker, and her sister-in-law, Mary Lambert. She was preceded in death by her first husband, J.M. Pittman; her second husband, Doug Durm; and her grandchild, Nicholas Pittman. A graveside service is scheduled for 10 AM Friday, September 2, 2022 at Farmington Cemetery to honor and celebrate the life of Jeanette Lambert Pittman Durm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Farmington Baptist Church — 84 County Road 106; Corinth MS 38834.
