Jeanette “Jan” Kaye Wyatt James, age 71, of Spruce Pine passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at her home on the mountain.
Jan attended North Highlands Church of Christ. She was such an amazing person, with a fun personality, always going, doing, supporting, and giving to her family. She loved her family, and her children and grandchildren were her world. She was a precious lady whose memories we will cherish forever.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe & Evelyn (Hamilton) Wyatt.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 53 years, Bobby Ray James; children, Chris James (Leanne), Trisha Miller (Lee), Tara Greenhill (Brent); foster daughter, Brittany Van Steenis; grandchildren, Savana Grissom (Jay), Skye Miller, Silvie Miller, Lydia James, Landon James, Elsie Kaye Greenhill, Tyde Greenhill; great-grandchildren, Shiloh McGee, Jax Grissom; foster grandchild, Kaden Van Steenis; siblings, Johnny Bonner (Pat), Victoria Conrades; 18 nieces and nephews; as well as a host of friends.
The visitation will be 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at Spry Memorial Chapel, with the service following at 12:00 noon in the chapel. Kerry Gilbert and Bro. Philip Goad will officiate the service. The burial will be at Franklin Memory Gardens.
The pallbearers will be Timmy James, Jeffery James, Wes Bonner, Charlton James, Jay Grissom, Mitch McKinney and Kevin Greenhill. The honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy DeFoor, Charles James, Tommy James, Johnny James, and Howard James.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Kayla Hudson, Kendra England, Bro. Philip Goad, and Kerry Gilbert for your love and care toward our family.
