Jeanette Irene Strong, age 73, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at Marshall Medical Center North. Jeanette was born October 15, 1950, in Marshall County, Alabama, daughter of Jay H. Clark and Tempe Sue Noble.
Jeanette was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She loved being at home surrounded by a house full of people. While at the same time her management skills were recognized by employers as being excellent. No matter where she was employed or what business she was involved with she was elevated into management including at Wal-Mart, Liberty Sewing Plant, and as a business owner. In her leisure time she enjoyed her family, crafts, sewing clothes and creating decoration flowers.
She built and shared many memories to be cherished for those she leaves behind which includes: son, Greg Strong (Barbara Grace); grandchildren, Trevor Strong, Levi Strong, Dillon Andrews, and Devin Kimsey; great grandchildren, Jaxson Garner and Rhaelyn Jo Strong; sister, Rita Mason (David).
Family preceding Jeanette in death include: husband, Glenn Elliot Strong; son, David Strong; brothers, Roy Clark and Troy Clark; sister, Barbara McNabb.
A funeral service, commemorating Jeanette’s life, will be Friday, October 20, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, Arab, Alabama. The family will receive friends and visitors at a visitation beginning at 12:00 noon until the service begins at 2:00 p.m. It is a time for family, friends, and those who were touched by her kindness to come together to celebrate the legacy she leaves behind. Officiating services will be Brother Jeremy Collier. Pallbearers escorting Jeanette to her final resting place in Ryan Cemetery will be Joey Clark, Michael Clark, Josh Clark, Trevor Strong, Levi Strong and Jeff Vaughn.
