Jean Wilson Pinkley - Humboldt, TN Funeral services for Mrs. Jean Wilson Pinkley, age 93, will be held at 3 PM on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 in the Church at Sugar Creek with Bro. Greg McFadden officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1 PM until service time at the church.

 

Mrs. Pinkley, a homemaker and member of the Church at Sugar Creek since 1957, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at Regency Retirement Village of Jackson.

 

She was a loving wife, mother and Jeanmomma to her grandchildren. She was a good friend to many and enjoyed cooking and entertaining. She and Harold were members of a Supper Club with dear friends for over twenty years.

 

Mrs. Pinkley was highly active in her church, especially the Women’s Missionary Union, and traveled with her husband on many mission trips, where she cooked and shared Christ with others.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Harold Pinkley; and parents, Eugene and Dimpsie Wilson.

 

Mrs. Pinkley is survived two daughters, Pam Burleson and husband Johnny and Cathy Sloan and husband Kevin all of Jackson; a son, Thomas Harold Pinkley, Jr. and wife Joan of Knoxville; five grandchildren, Ben Burleson and wife Jenny, Luke Burleson and wife Savannah, Wilson Sloan and wife Morgan, Sam Sloan and Gracie Sloan; and seven great grandchildren, Riley Burleson, Brecken Burleson, Chandler Burleson, Lainey Burleson, Dean Burleson, Whitt Burleson and Barrett Burleson; a sister-in-law, Joyce Springer. She also leaves behind several beloved nieces and nephews.

 

Pallbearers will be Ben Burleson, Luke Burleson, Wilson Sloan, Sam Sloan, David Springer and Johnny Springer. Honorary pallbearers will be Carroll Lochridge, Danny Cottrell, Henry Lewis and Tony Gill.

 

The family request that memorials be made to the Church at Sugar Creek, 3400 Mitchell St., Humboldt, TN 38343.
