Jean Whaley Lollar, 91, made her final journey home on July 26, 2022. She was born on October 15, 1930 to William Otto and Jennie Whaley in Trafford, Alabama. She was a registered nurse and worked for many years as an RN at Cullman Regional Medical Center. Jean was a member of East Hanceville Baptist Church and her faith and dedication to God inspired all who knew her.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Charles, her beloved husband of 68 years, her son, Chuck and her sisters Mildred Burdette and Pauline Oliver. She is survived by daughters Rebecca Reeves (Richard), Beth Chandler (Anthony), and Jill Lollar (Mel), six grandchildren Rebecca, Elizabeth (Jason), Sarah, Michael (Arianna), Stephen (Emily), and Ashleigh (Ryan); and seven great-grandchildren Hannah, Drew, Max, Emma, Levi, Sam, and Ella Ruth (her eighth great-grandchild is due in September), and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
A private graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 28 at Fairview West Cemetery in Hanceville with services conducted by Reverend Randy Booth. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a favorite charity or Comfort Care Hospice.
