Jean Parker Smith, 70, of Town Creek, passed away Friday, May 20, 2022 at Helen Keller Hospital in Sheffield. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Monday, May 23, 2022 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM with Richard and Stacie Brown and Anthony Lambert officiating. Burial will be at Owens Chapel Cemetery in Moulton.
Born on November 23, 1951 to General and Jennie Borden Parker as the youngest daughter of 12, Jean enjoyed flower arranging, being a homemaker, and spending time with her family. She was always willing to help anyone in need and liked to attend gospel singings.
Survivors include her children, Jamie Smith, Jeanie Smith Graves (Greg), and Jodie Lambert (Tony); grandchildren, Jeffery Smith (Chasity), Jessica Lambert (Anthony), and CJ Cooper; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Louise Mitchell and Peggy Parrish (Jimmy); brother, Millard Parker (Janice); and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband, James Smith; her parents and several siblings.
Pallbearers will be Jeffery Smith, CJ Cooper, Darrin Parrish, Derrick Parrish, Gentry Parker, Frankie Parker, and Ronnie Parker.
The family extends special thanks to everyone who visited, said a prayer and shared a kind word for Jean.
