Jean Moon age 93, of Hanceville and formerly of Arab passed away Saturday November 23, 2024, at Hanceville Nursing and Rehab Center. Mrs. Moon was born in Tennessee on April 13, 1931, the daughter of Simon B. Tapscott and Vesta Alma Kendall Tapscott. She was married to Troy Moon who preceded her in death. She was a faithful member of Rocky Mount Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include her children: Carolyn Moon and Roger (Linda) Moon;
Grandchildren: Scott (Laina) Kirksey, Chip (Bunja) Kirksey, Christy (Jason) Glass, Kimberly (Scott) Howell, Wesley (Hannah) Moon;
Great Grandchildren: Lola Kirksey, Jack Kirksey, Cash Kirksey, Addison Glass, Garrett Glass, Grayson Moon, Griffin Moon, Grant Moon, Ridge Hunt, Avery Hunt and Wyatt Howell; host of other family and friends.
Pallbearers will be: Scott Kirksey, Chip Kirksey, Ridge Hunt, Wesley Moon, Garrett Glass and Grayson Moon
A Funeral Service will held on Monday November 25, 2024, at 2 PM at Gober Funeral Chapel with Elder Matt Jordan officiating. Burial will be in Brookwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-2 PM at Gober Funeral Chapel.
