Mrs. Jean Metheny, age 84, passed away early Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at her home in Decaturville. She was born June 6, 1940 in Lawrenceburg to the late Tinsley and Nora Brown. She was a retired employee of I-Appel. Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Mr. Jimmy Metheny; two daughters, Karen Creasy (Russell) and Penny Parker (David); four stepsons, Brian Metheny (Kimberly), Mike Metheny (Lucinda), Kevin Metheny (Dawn), and Scott Metheny (Kristen); one sister, Dean Woods (Ethridge); four grandchildren; nine step grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and eight step great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Syble Owens and Irene Estes.
Graveside services are scheduled for 1 PM, Thursday, October 24, 2024, at Prospect Cemetery near Sardis. The family will receive friends on Thursday, 12 – 12:30 PM at Pafford Funeral Home in Scotts Hill.
