Jean Goad Smith, age 90, ended her earthly journey on Friday, February 20, 2015. She was currently residing at NHC Healthcare. She was born February 28, 1924, in Lauderdale County to Thomas Joel Goad and Edna Miller Goad. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Hartselle and was formerly employed by Bethea International as a Transportation Manager.
Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by husband: William Rudolph Smith and a grandson: Patrick Jordan Smith.
Funeral service will be Sunday, February 22, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Shaddix officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Hartselle City Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, February 22, 2015 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the funeral home. The family would like to express special thanks to Jan Holt for her special loving care.
